LRN Launches Groundbreaking Cricket Coaching Qualifications with Legend Mohammad Yousuf

Learning Resource Network (LRN), a leading UK-based awarding organisation, is proud to announce the launch of its Cricket Coaching Qualifications at Levels 3 and 5. These qualifications are designed to raise the standard of cricket coaching and provide professional development opportunities for aspiring and experienced coaches around the world.

The training will be delivered by Pakistani cricket legend Mohammad Yousuf, who brings a wealth of international playing and coaching experience.

This initiative represents a pioneering step in the world of cricket educationβ€”the first time a UK awarding body has launched structured, internationally accessible coaching qualifications, delivered in partnership with an international cricket icon and aligned with formal educational standards.

These qualifications will officially commence from the next academic year, offering learners the opportunity to enrol in a globally recognised programme that combines technical expertise with a passion for the game.

Speaking about the launch, Dr. Muhammad Zohaib Tariq, CEO of LRN, said:

β€œWe are delighted to introduce these qualifications with the support of cricketing greats like Mohammad Yousuf . Cricket is more than just a sportβ€”it is a passion, a profession, and a source of national pride in many countries. These qualifications will offer structured, recognised training for those who wish to build a career in coaching, from grassroots to the professional level.”

Mohammad Yousuf commented:

β€œIt is an honour to be part of this initiative. I believe this programme will raise the bar for coaching across all levels of the game and help create a strong foundation for future generations of cricketers.”

Javed Anwar assisting and supporting the delivery of this programme.

On this occasion, Azhar Rafi, Director of iLearn, highlighted:

β€œThe Level 3 qualification is aimed at developing coaching skills for junior and amateur levels, while the Level 5 qualification is designed for coaches aspiring to work at elite and professional levels. Both qualifications are aligned with international coaching standards and are suitable for learners in the UK, South Asia, the Middle East, and beyond.”

Alistair Walker, Director at Lewis School of English, Southampton, UK, added:

β€œAs part of this programme, students will also have the opportunity to visit the UK to participate in a Cricket and English experience. Organised by the Lewis School of English, this component will combine professional English instruction, cricket training, and matches with local schools to enhance both language and sporting skills in an immersive environment.”
